48th Annual NEIBA Joe Walsh All-Star Game
Hartford, Conn. (June 5, 2023)
The 2023 NEIBA Joe Walsh All-Star game took take place on Mon. June 5 at at Dunkin Stadium in Hartford, Conn.
The Div. 1 University team beat the Div II/III College team, 12-4, behind home runs from URI teammates Anthony Depino and Mark Coley. Major award winners were honored before the game:

Coaching Dispatch (1/25/23)
Trinity Baseball Coach Bryan Adamski reports on his coaching experience to Germany:
I had the opportunity to speak at the DBV (German Baseball Federation) Convention last week and wanted to share some thoughts from the trip. The experience in Cologne, Germany was my first abroad and my first collaboration with Tom O’Connell and an organization called ISG-Baseball. I spoke 4 times over the 3-day conference and the German coaches were so gracious to have American coaches there sharing knowledge on baseball and coaching. Their challenges as a country are significant, with no high school or college baseball season built into the youth educational system. All sports are run independently by local organizations/parents and the sports national teams. In short, if you aren’t good enough to make the youth national teams, it’s really hard for kids to access the sport and continue playing it. The interactions with the coaches there were extremely genuine and it was immediately clear that those in attendance were engaged and ready to learn.
I continue to be amazed and grateful for what the game of baseball has provided me and am humbled to have been involved in growing the game internationally. Tom O’Connnell, the ISG president has been making trips like this happen since 1984, and has done so much for international baseball across all levels. I would like to thank NEIBA for co-sponsoring my trip, without this organizations support, the trip was not possible. If your schedule allows, I would recommend these trips with ISG to help elevate the game of baseball and its coaches across the world. I can’t speak highly enough of Tom and the ISG mission to promote the game. Below are a few pictures of my time in Cologne!
NEIBA 2023 Events (1/13/23)
NEIBA General Meeting- Jan. 13, 2023 – World Baseball Coaches Clinic, Mohegan Sun, CT
The annual NEIBA general meeting will take place on Fri. Jan. 13, 2023. The meeting will take place in the Thunder/Harvest/Hot Suns rooms from 12-1 p.m. The executive meeting will meet before from 11:30-12 p.m. The left-over 2022 NEIBA award plaques will be available for pick-up for your players. Lunch, NEIBA lineup cards, and a free gift will be provided for those who attend. You don’t need to register for the WBCC convention to attend the meeting, but see the membership email for info to receive a discount for attending this 20th World Baseball Coaches Clinic.
Your participation is vital to the organizations success, so we hope to see you all there. We are always looking for new coaches to be involved, and have some open positions up for vote tomorrow.
